How to join ON

Did you read our blog post last week about the v1.2.0.3 release but wondered how to join ON? Well here are a few pointers on how it works and what you can expect from it.

On which devices can I experience ON?

ON is a mobile service available for Android handsets. If you have another device, don’t despair: it will be soon available on iPhone and other devices.

You can still get basic ON features by logging onto the mobile web site at m.lifeisbetteron.com from your mobile phone, but it will be rather limited compared to the immersive experience on the Android app.

Is ON only for Orange customers?

ON is for everyone, regardless of their mobile network. Not only is ON not just for Orange users, but ON also still works when you chat with contacts who are not using ON, so you never feel cut off from the people that matter.

Will ON eat through my data plan?

Right now, we would advise anyone who does not have an unlimited (“fair use”) data plan to only use ON via Wifi. ON is actually pretty good at keeping your contacts in sync even if you are not connected the whole time, so you will still get a lot out of it. In addition, we are continuously developing new ways to dramatically reduce data use through more intelligent design. So bear with us as we will continue to improve this over time.

What are other people saying about ON?

How do I register?

To join ON it’s simple: register from your Android handset through the Android Market Place. If you don’t own an Android handset, you can experience Life Is Better ON by registering on the web.

Once on the Android Market Place, search for ON from your Android handset on the Android Market Place and follow the instructions provided on the page.

• Through the website

Register on the following page http://www.lifeisbetteron.com/join-in with either your phone number or an email address and follow the instructions.
