At last. We have removed the “request invitation”, so anyone with an Android device can now join On. In the process, we have released a new version of the client (now happily called version 1.0), and a new version of the website, and loads of upgrades to the servers, with the automatic recovery of statuses that were updated when you were offline, and much faster sychronisation.
Our only significant known issue now is that you need to deactivate sync with Exchange as this can lead to duplicated contacts. Sync with Google, on the other hand is no problem.
We will continue to deliver updates to the service every 3 weeks for the upcoming months, so keep your feedback coming so we know what irks you (but feel free also to tell us what you love).
This is just the beginning…
