Hey everyone, just a quick note to let you know that we’ve just updated ON’s web interface. A new version of ON for Android will be coming along shortly with lots of new features which we’ll announce here in full in the not-too-distant future.
Here are some of the new features and a few other major improvements:
oAuth for Twitter
ON is now using the Open Authorization standard to link ON accounts to Twitter accounts. It won’t change the way you’re currently using Twitter with ON, but you need to login to ON’s web interface to re-authorize ON to access your Twitter stream. Don’t worry, that’s easy :):
1. Go to lifeisbetteron.com and sign-in with your usual login and password
2. Go on the A.Z list tab and click on Twitter’s logo
3. A Twitter pop-up menu will open, asking for your Twitter username and password
4. Once you have filled in the credentials, click on Allow when you are asked “Allow ON access?” (On will never have access to your personal information’s such as your password)
General improvements:
- on a-z, click on the phone icon, enter your phone number and we will send you a SMS with a link to the Android Market
- use the keyboard to scroll into the lists
- The text on the contact point validation page is now contextual depending on whether you’ve registered of added a new contact point, your contact point (mobile/mail) and your browser
